How to create a book with Survival Mode
1. Open the compose menu
First, open your design table to have a 3×3 design grid that looks like this:

2. Add Items to Make a Book
In the compose menu, you should see the design space created by the 3×3 compilation grid. To make a book, place 3 sheets and 1 skin on a 3×3 design grid.

When making a book, it is important that the paper and leather are embedded in the exact pattern as in the picture below. In the first row, there should be 1 paper in the first box and 1 paper in the second box. In the second row, there should be 1 paper in the first box and 1 paper in the second box. This is a recipe for making the art of Minecraft book.

Once you have compiled a book, you need to move something new to your layout.
